01 — Agreement
Accepting these terms
These Terms are effective July 21, 2026.
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and FlowMaster Team (“FlowMaster,” “we,” “us”) governing the FlowMaster macOS app, its cloud services and API, and related website features (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, using the Service, or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms, the Usage Policy, and the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service. If you use FlowMaster for a school, team, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
02 — Accounts
Eligibility and account security
- Students and minors. If you cannot agree to these Terms independently where you live, a parent, legal guardian, school, or other authorized adult must provide any permission required by applicable law.
- Accurate account details. Provide an email address you control and keep your account information current. You are responsible for activity performed through your account, except activity caused by a security failure on our side.
- Credentials. Keep your password, verification codes, session tokens, team keys, and recovery codes confidential. Tell support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One person per account. Flow collaboration and team seats are supported, but account credentials and individual paid entitlements may not be shared, lent, transferred, or resold. Coaches should invite members through team features instead.
03 — Service
The Service and plans
FlowMaster provides debate-flow editing, offline storage, cloud sync, real-time collaboration, team tools, optional integrations, and AI-assisted research and analysis. Some features require internet access, a paid plan, a team seat, or a supported version of macOS.
Feature descriptions and plan limits shown in the app or on the pricing page are part of the applicable offer. We may improve, replace, limit, or discontinue features as the Service evolves. When a material change adversely affects a paid plan, we will provide reasonable notice when practical and honor any non-waivable consumer rights.
You may use an offline copy of your flows, but cloud sync, collaboration, authentication, AI, billing verification, and third-party integrations depend on networks and providers outside your Mac. Keep exports or backups of content you cannot afford to lose.
04 — Purchases
Subscriptions, renewals, and billing
FlowMaster Team sets the features, prices, billing periods, trial offers, and renewal terms for every FlowMaster plan. The terms displayed before you confirm a purchase, together with any applicable Order, form part of that purchase agreement.
- Individual Pro. Individual Pro is purchased through the official FlowMaster website or account dashboard, and Stripe processes the payment. A recurring subscription renews until canceled through the Stripe customer portal opened from the FlowMaster account dashboard. A one-time pass expires after its displayed term and does not renew. Billing, cancellation, or refund questions must be sent to FlowMaster support.
- Teams & School Plans. FlowMaster Team sells these plans directly through the official FlowMaster website. The applicable website checkout or Order states the plan, price, seat count, term, renewal rules, and payment conditions. Stripe handles the transaction, and billing, cancellation, or refund questions must be directed to FlowMaster support.
- Plan verification. We may verify transaction records and payment status to activate, renew, refund, revoke, or restore entitlements. Attempting to falsify or reuse purchase records may result in loss of access.
- Taxes and changes. Prices may include or exclude tax as shown at purchase. FlowMaster Team may change future prices or plan features with any notice or consent required by applicable law; a change does not retroactively alter a completed billing period.
App download and license
The FlowMaster macOS application is distributed as a downloadable disk image (“DMG”) from the official FlowMaster website. Subject to these Terms and payment of any required fees, FlowMaster grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the app and Service.
05 — Content
Your flows, files, and collaboration
You retain ownership of flows, cases, documents, messages, recordings, transcripts, and other material you submit to the Service (“User Content”). You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload, process, and share that content.
You give FlowMaster a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, format, and process User Content solely as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the features you request. This license ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, subject to reasonable backup retention and legal obligations described in the Privacy Policy.
- Shared flows. When you share a flow or join a team workspace, authorized collaborators can view and, depending on their role, edit or comment on that content. Choose collaborators carefully and remove access when it is no longer appropriate.
- Collaborator changes. Edits made by authorized collaborators become part of the shared flow. Export important versions and resolve ownership or attribution expectations with your team.
- Feedback. If you voluntarily send product suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, but we do not claim ownership of the debate content included in a support request.
06 — AI
AI, search, and evidence responsibility
FlowMaster may generate responses, questions, summaries, fact-checks, citations, card cuts, transcripts, or round analysis using AI and search providers. Generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, fabricated, or unsuitable for your event.
- You are responsible for verifying quotations against the original source, opening and checking cited links, preserving context and qualifications, and following tournament, school, league, copyright, and evidence-disclosure rules.
- Do not represent generated text as a verified quotation, source, or fact unless you have independently confirmed it. FlowMaster does not guarantee that a citation is available, admissible, complete, or correctly formatted.
- AI output is informational and educational, not legal, medical, financial, safety, or professional advice. Do not rely on it for high-impact decisions about another person.
- You may provide content to AI features only when you have the right and any required consent to do so, including consent required to record or transcribe other people.
How content is processed by AI providers is described in the Privacy Policy.
07 — Conduct
Acceptable use
You must use the Service lawfully and follow the FlowMaster Usage Policy. That policy prohibits account and entitlement sharing, harassment and exploitation, privacy violations, fabricated evidence presented as authentic, attacks on the Service, automated abuse, quota bypass, and illegal or rights-infringing activity.
Competitive debate often involves controversial subjects. Good-faith research, quotation, analysis, and argument about sensitive topics is allowed. Context does not excuse threats, targeted abuse, exploitation, doxxing, or instructions intended to cause real-world harm.
08 — Providers
Third-party services and integrations
FlowMaster can interact with Apple, Cloudflare, OpenAI, Perplexity, Tabroom, OpenCaselist, Google, Microsoft, or other services. Their products, content, availability, and account terms are controlled by them. You are responsible for complying with their terms when you connect or import from them.
Links and integrations do not mean that a third party endorses FlowMaster. FlowMaster is independent of Tabroom, NSDA, OpenCaselist, Google, and Microsoft, and their names and marks belong to their respective owners.
09 — Enforcement
Suspension, appeals, and termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, comply with law, investigate abuse, address nonpayment or charge reversal, or enforce these Terms and the Usage Policy. Depending on severity and risk, enforcement may include a warning, feature limit, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent closure.
When practical, we will explain the reason and provide a way to appeal. A suspended user should use the private appeal link in the suspension email; it is tied to that account and must not be shared. For other account issues, contact support.
You may stop using FlowMaster at any time and delete your account under Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a Stripe subscription; cancel recurring billing separately through the Stripe customer portal. Terms that by their nature should continue—such as ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limits—survive termination.
10 — Ownership
FlowMaster software and brand
The Service, app, source code, visual design, trademarks, and non-user content are owned by FlowMaster or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. Subject to these Terms, you receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app and Service.
You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service; remove ownership notices; or reverse engineer or circumvent technical protections except where applicable law expressly gives you that right and does not permit it to be waived.
11 — Risk
Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free sync, perfect preservation of content, or accurate AI, transcription, search, source, tournament, pairing, or third-party information. You are responsible for maintaining reasonable local exports or backups and for reviewing work before relying on it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FlowMaster will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost rounds, opportunities, data, revenue, or goodwill arising from the Service. FlowMaster’s aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid FlowMaster for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $50.
12 — General
Changes and other legal terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will revise the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept it; if you do not, stop using the Service and cancel any renewal.
These Terms, and any dispute or non-contractual obligation arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“HKSAR”), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to use another forum, the courts of HKSAR have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting a formal dispute, you and FlowMaster agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve it through support. Nothing here prevents either side from seeking urgent relief from a court with lawful authority.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be narrowed only as much as needed and the rest will remain in effect. Our delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of the Service. These Terms, the incorporated policies, and any applicable team order are the entire agreement about the Service.
